"summary": "DPR RI's Commission X, which oversees education, culture, research, youth and sport, has urged teachers in East Kalimantan to continually boost their digital skills and literacy to foster a more adaptive learning ecosystem. The Education and Culture Office in Kalimantan Timur is advancing digital transformation, presenting socialisation and training on the Rumah Pendidikan platform, Google Workspace and Canva to teachers from SMA, SMK and SLB, while emphasising the need to pair hardware support with teacher training.",
"content": "<p>Dynamic societal conditions demand policies that adapt to\ntechnological developments, so teachers must have the skills to teach\nchildren, said Hetifah Sjaifudian in Samarinda on Friday. Hetifah, who\nchairs Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI),\nwhich has oversight in education, culture, research, youth, and sports,\nstressed that the provision of school facilities must be accompanied by\npreparation of human resources (HR). According to her, policy\ninnovations such as distributing Digital Interactive Whiteboard devices\n(PID) would be futile and unused if not followed by socialisation and\ntechnical training for teachers. In response to this, the East\nKalimantan Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) continues to push\ndigital transformation to create a more modern learning ecosystem. The\nhead of the UPTD for Educational Technology and Information (UPTD\nTeknologi Komunikasi dan Informasi Pendidikan) at Disdikbud Kaltim,\nMuchamad Awaludin, said they had conducted socialisation and intensive\ntraining on the use of the Rumah Pendidikan platform online. The\nintegrated application owned by the Ministry of Education, Primary and\nSecondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is designed specifically to unite\nvarious educational services into a single gateway. Participants who had\nbeen trained included teachers at the Senior High School (SMA),\nVocational High School (SMK), and SLB levels; they were not only\nintroduced to the government platform but were also equipped with skills\nto operate Google Workspace and Canva. Awaludin reminded of the\nimportance of optimising government-supplied hardware, as advanced\ntechnology will not have a major impact without users\u2019 creativity.<\/p>",
