"summary": "The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) building has gone dark in several areas as part of efficiency measures implemented by the General Secretariat, with lights and escalators switched off by 6 PM. This follows a circular issued on 27 March 2026, directing energy savings on electricity, air conditioning, lifts, and other utilities to curb operational costs in the parliamentary complex. The changes coincide with the early conclusion of commission meetings, potentially impacting late-evening activities, and underscore broader efforts to optimise public resource use amid fiscal constraints.",
