        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives\n(DPR) Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal has responded to a statement by the\nPresident of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers\u2019 Unions\n(KSPSI), Andi Gani Nena Wea, regarding political parties allegedly\nlacking partiality towards workers. Cucun refuted Andi Gani\u2019s\naccusation. He stated that all political parties in the DPR are\nunanimous in their support for workers and the draft Labour Bill (RUU\nKetenagakerjaan).<\/p>\n<p>Cucun said all political parties speak with one voice in fighting for\nworkers\u2019 rights. \u201cIn the DPR, everyone is united, a single entity\nfighting together for workers, for labourers,\u201d Cucun told reporters at\nthe Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, 13\nAugust 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Andi had claimed that some political parties lacked\npartiality towards workers. He made the statement while attending a\nhearing on the Labour Bill with DPR Deputy Speakers Sufmi Dasco Ahmad,\nCucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, Saan Mustopa, and House Commission IX.\nAccording to him, there are parties in the DPR that are not serious\nabout discussing the bill, which is a follow-up to a Constitutional\nCourt ruling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur grand coalition is taking note of which parties are serious or\nnot serious about discussing this law,\u201d Andi said at the Parliament\nComplex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, 13 August 2026. Andi\nindicated he would announce the names of these parties to the public in\ndue course. He said that, to date, there is a party that does not yet\nhave a draft of the Labour Bill, even though the bill has begun to be\ndiscussed by House Commission IX. \u201cAnd we will announce to the public\nwhich parties have partiality and which have none at all, so that the\npeople know and there are no lies between us,\u201d Andi concluded.<\/p>",
