The DPR officially approved the revision of the Law on Amendments to\nLaw Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the\nFinancial Sector (P2SK), enacting it into law. The decision was made\nduring the 20th plenary session of the fifth session of the 2025-2026\nparliamentary year.<\/p>\n
The plenary session was led by Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco\nAhmad, in the plenary hall of the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta,\non Thursday (4 June 2026). Also in attendance were Deputy Speakers of\nthe DPR, Saan Mustopa, and Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal.<\/p>\n
Initially, Dasco invited the leadership of Commission XI of the DPR\nto present the discussion on the first level of the P2SK Bill. Deputy\nChairman of Commission XI, Mohamad Hekal, then read out the report of\nhis commission.<\/p>\n
Hekal stated that the bill had been discussed since 4 February 2026,\nwith a number of working meetings with the government having been held.\nOne of the reasons for revising the law is to optimise the financial\nsector.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe need for legal reform to optimise the role of the financial\nsector is the background for the P2SK Law Amendment Bill,\u201d said Hekal in\nhis presentation.<\/p>\n
Dasco then asked the members of the Council present about the\ndecision on the second level of the bill. All factions agreed to the\nrevision of the P2SK Law into law.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe ask for the approval of the factions regarding the Draft Law on\nAmendments to Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and\nStrengthening of the Financial Sector, whether it can be approved to be\nenacted into law?\u201d said Dasco.<\/p>\n
