        "content": "<p>Deputy Chairman of Commission IX of the DPR RI, Nihayatul Wafiroh,\naffirmed that the discussion of the Employment Bill is targeted to be\ncompleted before October 2026. This target follows the deadline set by\nthe Constitutional Court (MK) through Decision Number\n168\/PUU-XXI\/2023.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ninik, the DPR together with the government must\ncomplete the new labor regulation no later than October 2026, as\nmandated by the MK.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe final deadline is indeed October, according to the\nConstitutional Court\u2019s decision, so the discussion must be completed\nbefore that,\u201d said Ninik in Jakarta, Friday (15\/4).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to implementing the MK\u2019s decision, the acceleration of\nthe discussion of the bill is also said to be related to the commitment\nof President Prabowo Subianto, which was conveyed during the\ncommemoration of International Workers\u2019 Day on May 1, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Ninik explained that the President had previously expressed his\nsupport for the new regulations related to labor to be completed\ntogether with the DPR RI.<\/p>\n<p>During the DPR session from May 12 to July 21, 2026, Commission IX is\nscheduled to hold a series of meetings with various parties to gather\ninput on the substance of the bill.<\/p>\n<p>One of the parties that will be invited is the Indonesian Employers\nAssociation (Apindo).
