        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 The Central Executive Board (DPP) of Perempuan Bangsa has\nreminded that children\u2019s safety must be a priority during mudik, at the\nChild-Friendly Mudik Socialisation Campaign at Merak Port, Banten, on\nSaturday. Nihayatul Wafiroh, the General Chairperson of DPP Perempuan\nBangsa, stressed that children and the elderly are the most vulnerable\ngroups during mudik journeys, particularly due to the long travel times\nand the potential risk of accidents. \u2018Our aim is to remind mudik\ntravellers to always be vigilant about children\u2019s safety,\u2019 she said,\nfamiliarly known as Ninik, as quoted in a statement received in Jakarta.\nShe noted that many accidents occur during mudik, and among the victims\nare children and the elderly, who are the most vulnerable given the\nlengthy journeys. The socialisation activity aims to remind travellers\nto pay more attention to the safety and comfort of children and the\nelderly during the mudik journey. She emphasised that Perempuan Bangsa\nwants to ensure that children and the elderly are comfortable during the\njourney so that their health and safety remain safeguarded. In the\ncampaign, the DPP Perempuan Bangsa also conducted on-site checks of the\nfacilities available on the ferry crossing. The checks covered a range\nof facilities relating to the needs of children and the elderly. \u2018We did\nnot only check at the port facilities, but also the facilities for\nchildren and the elderly on board the vessels. Earlier we saw the\nlactation room, the health room or clinic, as well as the children\u2019s\narea and rest areas on the ship. Overall, the facilities were quite\ngood,\u2019 she said. Meanwhile, the Head of Health and Environment of DPP\nPerempuan Bangsa, Dimas Pahlawanita, said that the child-friendly mudik\nsocialisation is not only conducted in Merak, but is being intensified\nin various regions. \u2018The child-friendly mudik socialisation is not\nlimited to now and Merak; it is being carried out continuously by\nPerempuan Bangsa in various regions and through social media platforms,\u2019\nsaid Dimas. As part of the campaign, Perempuan Bangsa also distributed\npackages to children and the elderly containing various items to support\ncomfort during travel, including storybooks, wet wipes and dry wipes,\neucalyptus oil, vitamin C and vitamin B complex, dates, bread, red\nginger drinks, biscuits, medicines, hand sanitiser, electrolyte drinks,\nand a brochure guiding safe mudik. Through these activities, Perempuan\nBangsa hopes the child-friendly mudik campaign will raise public\nawareness to pay greater attention to the safety, health, and comfort of\nchildren and the elderly during mudik.<\/p>",
