He issued three key directives: accelerating performance in the fourth session to meet tight deadlines without delays in core legislative, oversight, and advisory functions while prioritising efficiency and budget transparency; strengthening institutional solidarity by eliminating sectoral egos across central and regional units; and adapting to global geopolitical and technological dynamics, including IT system enhancements and potential policy adjustments like budget efficiency and work-from-home schemes.

Jakarta, VIVA – Secretary-General of the Regional Representative
Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia, Mohammad Iqbal, led the
first morning assembly after the long Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday
within the DPD General Secretariat environment.

In front of 1,464 employees, the DPD RI Secretary-General emphasised
the importance of mental and physical readiness to face the dense
legislative challenges in the remaining session period this year.

The timing of this morning assembly coincides with 10 Syawal 1447 H,
also marking the return to office activities after a 16-calendar-day
national holiday and collective leave. Mohammad Iqbal likened the
assembly to an instrument for aligning visions to check the
organisation’s readiness before carrying out the state’s mission.

“This morning assembly is more than just a physical ceremony. It is a
check on the readiness of 1,464 human resources under my responsibility.
We must ensure the organisation is prepared to carry out its duties
before entering the upcoming recess period,” said Iqbal while leading
the Morning Assembly at the DPD RI Parking Field in the Parliament
Complex, Jakarta, on Monday, 30 March 2026.

In his directions, the DPD RI Secretary-General conveyed three main
instructional points to all ranks. First, accelerating performance in
Session IV considering the short time before entering the recess
period.

He stressed that there should be no delays in the DPD RI’s core
agenda, whether in legislative functions, oversight, or
consideration.

“There is no room for slowness or mistakes. Everything must be on
time, in accordance with regulations, on target, while still
prioritising efficiency and budget transparency,” he asserted.

Second, he continued, strengthening solidarity and eliminating
sectoral egos across all work units, both at the centre and in the
regions, to work in unison. He also emphasised that weakness in one unit
would impact the entire system.

“Solidarity between units is the key to the institution’s strength in
facing political dynamics,” said Iqbal.

Finally, he advised adaptation to geopolitical and global technology
dynamics. In addition, he reminded of the possibility of policy
adjustments such as budget efficiency to work-from-home (WFH)
schemes.

“It is important for us to strengthen IT systems and database
security for the results of DPD RI’s work as anticipation for the
future,” he hoped.
",
