        "content": "<p>Dozens of houses burned in clash<\/p>\n<p>PADANG, West Sumatra: Dozens of residents' houses in the<br>\nvillage of Mulyo Kersik Tuo, in the Kayu Aro tea plantation in<br>\nKerinci regency, 400 kilometers from here, were burned down<br>\nfollowing a two-day clash between the residents which erupted on<br>\nMonday.<\/p>\n<p>Police could not confirm any fatalities.<\/p>\n<p>Reports said that hundreds of migrants, mostly women and<br>\nchildren, from West Sumatra and Jawa in Kerinci regency had fled,<br>\nwhile the men stayed to stave off a possible attack from their<br>\n\"enemies\".<\/p>\n<p>\"The indigenous people attacked the migrants,\" a local, who<br>\nasked for anonymity, said.<\/p>\n<p>Anther version said that the clash was due to the locals'<br>\njealousy of the migrants. \"The conflict started a long time ago,\"<br>\nanother resident said. \"Last week Governor Zainal Bakar visited<br>\nKerinci to deal with the clash.\" (28\/sur)<\/p>",
