Dossiers on Unas students delivered<\/p>\n
The South Jakarta police have transferred the dossiers of the
\n12 students of the National University (Unas) accused of burning
\nthe command post of the university's student regiment late last
\nmonth to the local district prosecutors' office.<\/p>\n
The police precinct chief, Lt. Col. Silvanus Julian Wenas,
\nannounced to reporters through his adjutant over the weekend that
\nthe dossiers had been completed.<\/p>\n
The adjutant refused to comment as to whether the dossiers of
\na number of regiment members accused of attacking students in an
\nearlier clash, which led to the burning of the command post, had
\nbeen completed as well.<\/p>\n
According to head of the South Jakarta Criminal Investigation
\nUnit, Capt. Charles H. Ngili, the dossiers on the students' were
\nhanded over on Friday.<\/p>\n
\"But I have no idea about the completion of the dossiers of
\nthe regiment members involved in the earlier clash because the
\nincident has yet been reported to me from the Pasar Minggu sub-
\nprecinct which handles the case,\" Ngili said.<\/p>\n
He said that two or three members of the student regiment were
\narrested following the arrest of the students from the Nature
\nLovers Association (Himpala).<\/p>\n
The 12 students could face a maximum prison term of five-and-
\na-half years if found guilty of damaging the facility. (bsr)<\/p>",
