        "content": "<p>PT PLN (Persero) has increased the number of public electric vehicle\ncharging stations (SPKLU) by nearly double compared to the previous\nyear, part of the company\u2019s efforts to improve services for holiday\ntravellers using electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>PLN Chief Executive Darmawan Prasodjo stated that the company has\nincreased SPKLU by 1.8 to 2 times, particularly at rest areas along the\nTrans Java toll route.<\/p>\n<p>He noted this expansion is driven by the growing number of electric\nvehicle users, with an estimated 1.6-fold increase in EV users during\nthis year\u2019s Eid holiday compared to last year.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to increasing the number of SPKLU, the company has also\nupgraded charging stations that previously offered slow charging to\nultra-fast charging capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are optimising SPKLU along the mudik routes, replacing slow\ncharging with ultra-fast charging, and we have increased the number by\n1.8 times, nearly reaching 2 times,\u201d Darmawan said during a press\nconference at the BPH Migas office in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to ensure that our people who travel home using electric\nvehicles can complete their journey smoothly and safely,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Prasodjo also advised mudik travellers to switch off electrical\nappliances before leaving home, including unplugging electric cookers\nand irons to ensure safe travels.<\/p>\n<p>Primary Energy Supply for Power Generation<\/p>\n<p>Darmawan reported that the national coal stockpile for power\ngeneration currently stands at 19 days of operational reserve (HOP),\nensuring that Indonesia\u2019s electricity system is currently in a secure\ncondition.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond coal, Darmawan stated that other primary energy sources,\nincluding petroleum fuels and natural gas, are also in adequate\nsupply.<\/p>\n<p>Natural gas supply for power generation is at 9 days of operational\nreserve, whilst petroleum fuel supply exceeds 9 days of operational\nreserve.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoal supply on average is above 19 days of operational reserve, gas\nis above 9 days, and petroleum fuel is above 9 days. The current\nsituation is secure, especially for the holiday period,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>Darmawan revealed that the company has been preparing energy supply\nreliability well in advance for the Ramadan and Eid season.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, PLN has conducted maintenance of electrical\ninfrastructure, including substations, transmission networks, and\nemergency command posts to prevent disruptions during the upcoming Eid\nholidays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have completed maintenance of power plants well in advance as\ndirected by the Minister. We have also prepared substations,\ntransmission lines, and all emergency command posts,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
