Behind efforts to equalise digital connectivity in Indonesia, many\nfigures work without the spotlight. From digital literacy volunteers in\nvillages to communities driving the creative economy, they serve as the\n\u2018connectors of the nation\u2019 with tangible contributions to society.<\/p>\n
Their roles now receive recognition through the Apresiasi\nKonektivitas Digital 2026 event, initiated by detikcom and BAKTI\nKomdigi. The highlight event will take place today, Friday (17\/4), at\n7:00 PM WIB, as a form of appreciation for individuals, communities, and\ninstitutions contributing to expanding technology access in\nunderdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas.<\/p>\n
This programme stems from the awareness that equalising digital\nconnectivity cannot rely solely on the government. Involvement from\nvarious parties, including those operating at the grassroots level, is\nkey to delivering more equitable access.<\/p>\n
The journey to the award night has been a long process. Nominations\nopened from 15 November 2025 to 28 February 2026, inviting the wider\npublic to nominate deserving individuals or entities. From hundreds of\nsubmissions, 13 top nominations from various sectors advanced to the\njudging stage.<\/p>\n
The evaluation process was comprehensive, involving 10 judges from\ngovernment, industry, associations, and media sectors. Judging was not\nbased solely on documents but also through direct field verifications to\nensure data accuracy.<\/p>\n
Managing Editor and Head of Media Researcher at detikcom, Irwan\nNugroho, emphasised that his team deployed contributors and journalists\nto various regions. This step was taken to confirm that the data\nprovided by participants truly matched on-the-ground conditions.<\/p>\n
The 13 contested categories reflect the broad roles in the digital\necosystem. In the local government sector, categories include Province\nDriving Digital Economy, Province Supporting Digital Connectivity\nAcceleration, Regency Pioneering Digital SMEs, and Outstanding Digital\nVillage.<\/p>\n
In the public services sector, awards are given through categories\nsuch as Innovative Village-Owned Enterprises in Digital Business,\nInnovative Health Centre in Health Service Digitalisation, Exemplary\nDigital School, and Defence Post Supporting Digital Connectivity.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, individual categories include Digital Literacy Activist in\nVillages, Internet Warrior Entering Villages, and Creative Local Content\nCreator. There are also community categories, namely Community\nSupporting Digital Creative Economy and Community Driving Internet for\nthe People.<\/p>\n
Irwan hopes this event does not stop at being a mere award ceremony.\nHe views the Apresiasi Konektivitas Digital as a portrait of Indonesia\u2019s\ndigital connectivity conditions while encouraging policymakers to\naccelerate national digital development.<\/p>\n
