        "content": "<p>Don't forget Palestine: Hassan<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Minister of Foreign Affairs Hassan Wirayuda has said<br>\nthe on-going U.S. military attacks against Afghanistan should not<br>\ndistract attention from the deteriorating situation in the<br>\nPalestinian territories.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the 9th Extraordinary Session of the Organization<br>\nof Islamic Conference (OIC) in Doha, Qatar, on Wednesday, Hassan<br>\nsaid that the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian<br>\nterritories threatened to affect not only the region, but also<br>\nhave ramifications for the international community at large.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia emphasized the need for the United Nations Security<br>\nCouncil to take all necessary measures to address the situation<br>\nin line with the UN Charter and its resolutions, the Indonesian<br>\nforeign ministry said in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Hassan also reiterated Indonesia's call for the UN to adopt a<br>\nleading role in addressing international terrorism, which he said<br>\nconstituted a threat to international peace and security.<\/p>\n<p>He also emphasized the need for cooperation among member<br>\nstates of the OIC in concert with the international community to<br>\neradicate the danger of international terrorism which \"has<br>\nneither nationality nor religion\". -- JP<\/p>",
