How good would it be if the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) members,
\nespecially the National Awakening Party (PKB), forced or allowed
\nPresident \"Gus Dur\" Wahid to resign, allowing the NU and PKB to
\nremain in the political forum. Resigning in a gentlemanly manner
\nis better than being \"bruised\". One step backward in exchange for
\none thousand steps forward.<\/p>\n
PKB is still a toddler, under five years old, compared with
\nits political opponents. Just spend three years to accrue power,
\nrather than resisting under condemnation.<\/p>\n
Pak Matori, don't be like Harmoko, you will get sunk. Be loyal
\nto your party's motto: \"Ever onward, striving for the correct
\none\". So, if Gus Dur is wrong don't defend him. Sorry, the public
\nhas branded Gus Dur wrong in his attempts to administer the

If the People's Consultative Assembly don't know how to find

\nshould be from the winning electoral contestants, except Golkar
\n(the New Order's ruling party) which has been labeled dirty.<\/p>\n
The parties still considered clean are the Indonesian
\nDemocratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) and the United
\nDevelopment Party (PPP). These two parties adequately represent
\nthe nationalist and the religious people; their political
\nexperience is moderately long.<\/p>\n
In the year 2001 a direct presidential election should be
\nconducted by the people with Megawati and Hamzah Haz as
\ncandidates. The winner will become president, and the loser vice
\npresident.<\/p>\n
Therefore, before the year 2001, Gus Dur, you should
\ngraciously leave the presidential palace. Please have pity on NU
\nand PKB members and the Indonesian people. Don't let the people
\nsuffer from grievances brought about by your arrogance or because
\nof the fact that people are taking advantages of your weaknesses.<\/p>\n
