        "content": "<p>The Eid al-Fitr holiday in 1447 AH in Jakarta will remain festive, as\nthe DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared special treatment for\nresidents choosing not to return to their hometowns and tourists\nvisiting Jakarta through a programme called \u201cVisit Jakarta.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Governor Pramono Anung affirmed that Jakarta must remain lively and\nenjoyable despite being nearly half-emptied of its population. \u201cFor\nthose not returning home, we have clearly stated that since Jakarta\u2019s\ntheme is \u2018Visit Jakarta\u2019, they will receive special treatment,\u201d Pramono\nsaid in North Jakarta on Sunday (15 March).<\/p>\n<p>One special gift for residents is the free operation of public\ntransport for two days during Eid. This facility includes Transjakarta\nbus rapid transit, Jakarta MRT, and Jakarta LRT services.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, students holding the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) will\nreceive free access to iconic tourist centres. In collaboration with the\nHotel and Restaurant Association of Indonesia (PHRI), the Association of\nIndonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (Astindo), and the Jakarta\nExperience Board, the programme offers various attractive packages valid\nfrom 27 February to 31 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope Jakarta will remain festive even though nearly half of those\ncelebrating are travelling home,\u201d Pramono said.<\/p>",
