'Donations' to private universities<\/p>\n

Parents whose children wish to join private universities are
\noften baffled by the universities' policies on \"donation\"
\npayments.<\/p>\n
When a candidate student passes the entrance test, the
\nuniversity sets the deadline of payment and the amount of this
\ncontribution. Unless a payment is made before the deadline, the
\ncandidate student will be removed from the list.<\/p>\n
If later, this candidate student passes the entrance test at a
\ngovernment university and decides to join this public institution
\ninstead of the private university, some private universities
\nrefuse to refund the money. Some others agree to refund only 90
\npercent of the amount.<\/p>\n
It is advisable, therefore, that the government should see to
\nit that government universities organize their entrance tests
\nearlier than private universities. Hopefully, in this way many
\nparents will not spend their money for nothing.<\/p>\n
