During this time I have already<br>\nexperienced the good and the bad times.<\/p>\n<p>Every morning I read in your newspaper about so many people<br>\nwho are suffering and cannot feed their families due to the high<br>\nprices of staple foods.<\/p>\n<p>How can this happen in a country like Indonesia, which is<br>\nsupposed to be rich in natural resources? What has happened to<br>\nthe millions of tons of rice donations this country received as<br>\nforeign aid, which were reportedly distributed to the poor? My<br>\nwife and I feel very sorry about this situation and as Christians<br>\nwe feel obliged to share some of the money we have earned in this<br>\ncountry with those who are really suffering.<\/p>\n<p>That's why we have decided to donate Rp 5.000.000 to an<br>\norganization who can guarantee to send this money for food to<br>\nthose who need it most. We know that this is just a small amount<br>\nconsidering the 70 million people who are suffering in this<br>\ncountry, but we are not rich and we just want to set a sign.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time we would like to call on all expatriates who<br>\nlive in this wonderful country and who are lucky enough to earn<br>\ntheir money here, to follow our example by helping those who need<br>\nour help most.<\/p>\n<p>This is not only a matter for the government but also for all<br>\nlocal Indonesians who can afford to donate a few hundred thousand<br>\nrupiah to the poor during these hard times Indonesia is going<br>\nthrough.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you very much for your kind assistance and I am looking<br>\nforward to hearing from you on this matter.<\/p>\n<p>WILHELM REHLI<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>Note: We will look for the organization that fits your<br>\nrequirements and send you the receipt afterwards.
