Jakarta \u2014 Online marketplace OLX has introduced a free goods category\nas part of its #DealBikinBerkah programme during Ramadhan. Through this\nfeature, users can advertise their belongings to be given away for free\nto those in need.<\/p>\n
With this programme, donors do not need to go to a specific location\nto donate their goods, which may not necessarily all be needed. By\nadvertising instead, interested parties who contact the seller will\ndefinitely be in need of the free items.<\/p>\n
Item owners simply upload the products they wish to share in the free\ngoods feature. Interested parties can then contact the advertiser and\ncollect the items according to their agreement. This scheme allows\nunused goods to retain utility value in other people\u2019s hands.<\/p>\n
OLX Director Agung Iskandar stated that the initiative is designed to\npromote a sharing culture by leveraging digital technology. Through the\nDealBikinBerkah campaign, OLX aims to encourage the public to see that\nsharing can begin with things very close to daily life.<\/p>\n
\u201cOLX leverages technology by introducing the free goods category with\nthe hope of creating a positive impact, extending the useful life of\ngoods, and spreading blessings during Ramadhan. The more goods shared,\nthe greater the benefit felt by the community,\u201d said Agung in his media\nstatement.<\/p>\n
The programme runs from 18 February to 10 March 2026. In addition to\npromoting sharing activities, OLX has also prepared appreciation for\nusers who actively upload free goods. The advertiser with the most\npostings has the opportunity to win several prizes, including\nPlayStation 5 Slim and iPhone 17 Air.<\/p>\n
Several public figures are participating in the campaign, including\nLutfi Afansyah, Ayla Dimitri, Dayu Hatmanti, Nuel Desy, and Teriyuloh.\nThey uploaded personal items through the free goods category, which was\nthen met with enthusiasm by their followers.<\/p>\n
Goods that can be uploaded in this category include various types,\nranging from mobile phones and devices, hobby and sports equipment, baby\nand children\u2019s needs, household items, to office supplies. Users can\naccess this service through the OLX application or official website.<\/p>\n
OLX stated that the programme is part of efforts to build a more\ninclusive digital ecosystem.
