Dompet Dhuafa received customer charity donations from PT MDS\nRetailing Tbk during the donation handover event for the Education\nScholarship and Student Development Programme at Menara Matahari in\nKarawaci, Tangerang, on Wednesday, 21 May 2026.<\/p>\n
The donations will be channelled through the Youth Excellence\nScholarship (YES) programme for education.<\/p>\n
The donation handover event represents a collaboration between the\ncorporate sector and philanthropic organisations to support education\naccess for Indonesian youth, particularly final-year high school\nstudents preparing to enter state universities.<\/p>\n
Izabella Indrawati, Corporate Secretary and Legal Director of PT MDS\nRetailing Tbk, stated that the customer charity donations reflect the\ncompany\u2019s social responsibility, aimed at benefiting Indonesian youth in\nneed of educational access.<\/p>\n

Ahmad Fakhri, Dompet Dhuafa\u2019s Fundraising Manager, explained that the\ndonations will be distributed through the YES programme, a comprehensive\nscholarship for orphans, the poor, and converts.<\/p>\n
He added that the programme focuses not only on educational support\nbut also on motivational guidance, character building, and leadership\ndevelopment for beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
\u201cEducation is key to breaking the poverty cycle. Some children have\nthe ability and desire but face economic constraints. This programme\nbridges that gap,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that YES is designed to build students\u2019 confidence to\ncompete and prepare for higher education and future careers.<\/p>\n
Yulianti, YES Programme Chair, explained that the initiative\ncurrently assists students in preparing for state university entrance\nvia SNBT and UTBK exams.<\/p>\n
