The Jakarta Provincial Government has taken firm action following
findings of alleged irregularities in handling public complaints in
Kalisari Ward, East Jakarta. Jakarta Provincial Inspector Dhany Sukma
emphasised that the inspection was conducted thoroughly using internal
government audit standards to ensure accountability in managing
citizens’ reports. “The Jakarta Provincial Inspectorate has completed
the examination of the alleged irregularities in handling public
complaints in Kalisari Ward. The results of this examination form the
basis for corrective actions and strengthened oversight, so that the
handling of public complaints runs more orderly, accountably, and in
accordance with regulations,” Dhany stated in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/4).
The Inspectorate recommended to the Mayor of East Jakarta Administrative
City to deactivate Siti Nur Hasanah from her position as Kalisari Ward
Head. This step was taken as a response to findings deemed to undermine
public service governance. In addition, two internal ward officials,
namely the Head of the Government Section and the Head of the Economy
and Development Section, were requested to receive disciplinary
sanctions accompanied by guidance. Meanwhile, three Public
Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers proven to be
involved will be subject to sanctions in accordance with their work
contract provisions. He emphasised that these steps are part of the
bureaucratic reform agenda. The sanctions also include comprehensive
system improvements. “This step is part of the bureaucratic reform
championed by Governor Pramono Anung. We will continue to strengthen
oversight, increase accountability, and ensure that every public
complaint is handled honestly, quickly, and accountably. This is not
just about sanctions, but also about comprehensive system improvements
so that similar incidents do not recur,” he asserted. These corrective
actions also serve as a signal that the DKI Provincial Government does
not tolerate practices that weaken public trust, particularly in basic
services such as handling public complaints.
",
