DKI Jakarta\u2019s\nAssistant for Economy and Finance, Suharini Eliawati, stated that this\ninnovative waste handling approach, which previously went viral, has\nbeen realised through collaboration with academics. \u201cRegarding the\nmussel waste, we have already collaborated with UI (Universitas\nIndonesia),\u201d said Eli at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on\nWednesday (15\/4). She explained that the utilisation of these seashells\nis part of an ongoing programme, where in the previous stage, the\nmaterial had been recycled into environmentally friendly infrastructure\ncomponents. \u201cLast year\u2019s batch was turned into paving blocks,\u201d said Eli.\nIn the current development stage, Eli assured that the processed waste\nproducts will be expanded for use in public facilities and tourism\ntrinkets. \u201cNow, we are turning it into one of the facilities, for\nexample, for toilet amenities, and then for souvenirs,\u201d said Eli.<\/p>",
