The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is expanding market access for\nmicro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) actors to China by\nparticipating in a series of trade forums in Wuhan and Beijing from 30\nMarch to 1 April 2026.<\/p>\n
Head of the DKI Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and\nMedium Enterprises Office (PPKUKM), Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, stated\nthat this participation represents a strategic step for Jakarta in\nstrengthening international trade networks and promoting increased\ncompetitiveness for MSMEs to penetrate international markets.<\/p>\n
\u201cJakarta\u2019s involvement in this series of forums is not merely\nceremonial but focused on creating concrete cooperation opportunities\nthat directly impact business actors, particularly those mentored by\nJakarta,\u201d Ratu said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The trade forums in question are the \u201cIndonesia-China Food &\nEcosystem Forum 2026\u201d, \u201cThe 14th China Food Trade Fair 2026\u201d,\n\u201cChina-Indonesia Trade and Investment Forum 2026 and Indonesia-China\nSME\u201d, and \u201cTrade and Investment Cooperation Forum 2026\u201d.<\/p>\n
In the \u201cThe 14th China Food Trade Fair 2026\u201d in Wuhan, Jakarta is\nparticipating through the Indonesia Pavilion alongside 17 exhibitors\nshowcasing various flagship products, from processed foods and fishery\nproducts to value-added creative goods.<\/p>\n
Through this participation, the DKI PPKUKM Office facilitates the\ndirect promotion of Jakarta MSME products to buyers, distributors, and\ninvestors from China.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want our mentored business actors not only to be strong in the\ndomestic market but also to compete and become part of the global supply\nchain,\u201d Ratu said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in the \u201cChina-Indonesia Trade and Investment Forum 2026\nand Indonesia-China SME\u201d event, Jakarta is affirming its position as the\nnational trade centre and a strategic distribution hub with strong\nlogistics connectivity and access to the ASEAN market.<\/p>\n
Ratu stated that in the forum, Jakarta is promoting strengthened\ncooperation in various potential sectors, such as logistics and supply\nchains, retail trade and distribution, and the digital economy, which\nsupport cross-border trade activities.<\/p>\n
\u201cStrengthening trade is not just about increasing transaction values\nbut also about how MSMEs can engage in the global supply chain through\nsustainable partnerships,\u201d Ratu remarked.<\/p>\n
She added that this momentum for trade cooperation with China is part\nof Jakarta\u2019s strategic steps in strengthening its position as a global\ncity integrated into international trade networks.<\/p>\n
