        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has\npartnered with the University of Indonesia (UI) to process mussel waste\nin the Cilincing coastal area, North Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>DKI Jakarta\u2019s Assistant for Economy and Finance, Suharini Eliawati,\nstated that the waste will be utilised to create various useful\nproducts, ranging from paving blocks to souvenirs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding mussel waste, we have already collaborated with UI. Last\nyear, it was turned into paving blocks; for this year, it will be used\nfor infrastructure needs, such as for toilet facilities, and also for\nsouvenirs,\u201d explained Elli in the Central Jakarta area on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Elli noted that this step is taken as a solution to the mussel waste\nproblem that once went viral and piled up in the coastal region.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to reducing environmental pollution, the processing of\nthis waste is expected to provide economic added value.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, this programme is part of the DKI Provincial\nGovernment\u2019s efforts to handle coastal waste issues sustainably.<\/p>\n<p>Mussel waste, previously considered worthless, is now processed into\nfunctional products that also have economic value.<\/p>",
