        "content": "<p>The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has launched a road\nsafety education programme called CCTV Jakarta Takeover. Through this\nprogramme, road users will receive direct warnings via loudspeakers\ninstalled at several traffic junctions.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Dishub DKI Jakarta, Budi Awaluddin, stated that the programme\nis an innovation in conveying safety messages to the public. The agency\nis also collaborating with partners to ensure the messages are more\nrelatable and easily accepted by road users.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are utilising speakers at traffic junctions as a medium for\nsafety education by collaborating with partners so that the messages\nconveyed are closer to the community. We hope this method can increase\nroad users\u2019 awareness to be more disciplined and make road safety a\nshared habit,\u201d Budi said in a statement on Wednesday (8\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Through this programme, the public is reminded to obey traffic\nlights, stop behind the stop line, wear helmets and seat belts,\nprioritise pedestrians, and refrain from using mobile phones while\ndriving.<\/p>\n<p>According to Budi, the use of CCTV integrated with loudspeakers is\nalso part of the development of a technology-based surveillance system\nto improve road safety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope this programme can increase public awareness to be more\ndisciplined in traffic. Going forward, education through speakers at\ntraffic junctions will be carried out routinely by Transportation Agency\nofficers so that a culture of orderly traffic can continue to grow\nwithin the community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, speakers have been installed at six traffic junctions:\nHarmoni, Patung Kuda, Bank Indonesia, Sarinah, Bundaran Senayan, and\nSimpang Millenium. The initial education sessions have been conducted at\nthe Millenium, Bank Indonesia, and Sarinah traffic light junctions.<\/p>\n<p>Budi said the agency plans to add more speaker installation points\nafter conducting surveys at several other junctions. This step is being\ntaken to broaden the reach of road safety education.<\/p>",
