The Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industries\/Investment\nCoordinating Board (BKPM) recorded that investment realisation in DKI\nJakarta Province in the first quarter of 2025 reached Rp69.8 trillion,\nthe highest of any province in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Investment and One-Stop Integrated\nServices Agency (DPMPTSP) Benni Aguscandra said this positive\nperformance was in line with the regional government\u2019s efforts to\ncontinuously provide ease of doing business for investors.<\/p>\n
\u201cInvestment performance in DKI Jakarta continues to record positive\nachievements. This is inseparable from the Governor\u2019s direction that all\nranks should consistently provide convenience for investors, from\nsimplifying licensing to providing adequate infrastructure,\u201d Benni said\nin a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Investment realisation throughout January to March 2025 was spread\nacross 114,451 investment projects, contributing 15 per cent of total\nnational investment realisation. The figure rose sharply compared to the\nsame period in 2024, which reached Rp58.4 trillion.<\/p>\n
In detail, domestic direct investment (PMDN) in DKI Jakarta reached\nRp42.2 trillion, or 18 per cent of total national PMDN realisation. This\nachievement also remained the highest compared to other regions in\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, foreign direct investment (PMA) in DKI Jakarta was\nrecorded at US$1.7 billion, contributing 11.9 per cent of total national\nPMA realisation.<\/p>\n
Benni said the high investment realisation in DKI Jakarta proved that\nvarious programmes undertaken by the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPMPTSP had\nsuccessfully driven investment growth.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the result of hard work and strong collaboration between the\ngovernment, business players and the community. We will continue to\nensure Jakarta remains an attractive investment destination,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is also committed to continuing\nto drive inclusive and sustainable investment growth, in order to\nstrengthen Jakarta\u2019s position as a national and global economic\ncentre.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a national and global economic centre, Jakarta is expected to\nattract more investment in the future, which will certainly have a\npositive impact on the economy and public welfare,\u201d Benni said.<\/p>\n
