        "content": "<p>The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) has confirmed\nthe manipulation of timestamps on JAKI reports by transport department\n(Dishub) officials in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>This case previously went viral and drew significant attention on\nsocial media after being posted by the Threads account <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"glensaimima\">@glensaimima<\/span> on\nWednesday (8\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency\n(Kominfotik) of DKI Jakarta, Budi Awaluddin, stated that his team had\ninvestigated the report and found evidence of manipulation by the\nofficials.<\/p>\n<p>The Dishub officials will be examined by the DKI Inspectorate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is true (that officials manipulated reports with fake\ntimestamps), and we have found (the evidence). Currently, the case is\nbeing processed, and we will coordinate with the inspectorate for\nexamination,\u201d Budi explained in his official statement on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, public criticism will serve as input for Pemprov\nDKI Jakarta to continuously improve its services.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Budi emphasised that this incident has received special\nattention from the leadership of Pemprov DKI Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>As a preventive measure going forward, Diskominfotik DKI Jakarta will\noverhaul and tighten the security system on the JAKI application to\nensure that similar loopholes cannot be exploited by rogue\nofficials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn response to this, we are strengthening the JAKI system, both\ntechnologically and in terms of supervision. In the future, there will\nbe enhancements such as stricter photo validation, the use of direct\nfield documentation (real-time capture), and the development of features\nto detect potential manipulation, fraud, or AI,\u201d he clarified.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also emphasise that any party involved will face sanctions if\nproven to have manipulated reports. This is important to maintain the\nintegrity and trust in the existing complaint system,\u201d Budi\nasserted.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to system improvements, Pemprov DKI is said to strengthen\ninternal supervision across all regional apparatus.<\/p>\n<p>He even urged the public to remain active in monitoring and\noverseeing the performance of Pemprov DKI Jakarta officials through JAKI\nand the integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) complaint\nsystem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the internal side, we are also providing guidance to field\nofficials so that report handling is carried out correctly and in\naccordance with regulations,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
