        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung Wibowo hopes\nthat Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 on the Governance of\nElectronic Systems in Child Protection (PP Tunas) can make children more\nfocused on learning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe main hope is that Jakarta\u2019s children concentrate on their\nlessons,\u201d said Pramono in Central Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Pramono is convinced that PP Tunas is highly beneficial as a legal\nfoundation to protect Indonesian children in the digital space, as the\nregulation requires digital platforms to conduct age verification,\nfilter harmful content, and deactivate accounts of children under age on\nhigh-risk services. In this way, he said, children can focus on learning\nto pursue their dreams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am confident that Jakarta\u2019s children generally have high\naspirations to study anywhere. So, rather than playing like that, it\u2019s\nbetter to concentrate on learning,\u201d stated Pramono.<\/p>\n<p>As support for the regulation, Pramono said he will soon issue a\ngubernatorial regulation (Pergub).<\/p>\n<p>According to Pramono, compared to other regions in Indonesia,\nchildren in Jakarta are relatively more digitally literate. Therefore,\nderivative regulations from PP Tunas are deemed necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The issuance of the Pergub as a derivative of PP Tunas is one form of\nsupport from the Jakarta Government for the regulation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause the largest consumers in the Republic for children under age\nas regulated in PP Tunas are certainly the people of DKI Jakarta who are\nrelatively more digitally literate. Thus, we will provide full support\nfor this,\u201d explained Pramono.<\/p>\n<p>As is known, Minister of Communication and Digital Regulation Number\n9 of 2026 as the implementing regulation of Government Regulation Number\n17 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic Systems in Child Protection\n(PP Tunas) will take effect starting 28 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The regulation limits children from various high-risk digital\nplatforms, especially eight digital platforms in the initial\nimplementation, namely YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Instagram, X,\nBigo Live, and Roblox.<\/p>",
