        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Service\n(Dukcapil) is urging new arrivals to promptly report to their local\nkelurahan, bringing their Citizen Relocation Certificate (SKPWNI). \u201cWe\nhope the public becomes more aware of reporting their presence upon\narriving in Jakarta, whether planning a permanent or non-permanent\nmove,\u201d said Shanti, Head of the Population Registration Division at\nDukcapil DKI, on Monday (6 April 2026), quoted from Antara. The\nregistration process is running smoothly, but new arrivals are still\nrequired to bring their SKPWNI along with a guarantee letter or a\nno-objection certificate from the homeowner of the residence they will\noccupy. The Population Guidance and New Arrivals Socialisation programme\nis ongoing until 30 April 2026, with the next simultaneous event\nscheduled for 20 April. Each kelurahan is also conducting independent\nsocialisation according to their schedules. Reporting new arrivals\noffers two key benefits. For the government, the data is essential for\nthe accuracy of development planning. For residents, it is crucial for\nemergency handling, such as accidents or disasters. In addition to new\narrival registration, Dukcapil is providing proactive or door-to-door\nservices for other civil registration matters, including KTP-el\nrecording. Dukcapil DKI Jakarta records that as of 1 April 2026, the\nnumber of new arrivals entering Jakarta totals 1,776 people, mostly men.\nApproximately 79.34 per cent are in the productive age group of 15-64\nyears, indicating the dominance of working-age population in the\npost-Eid 2026 urbanisation flow.
