Djadja<br>\nSuparman started his first day in his new job yesterday visiting<br>\nuniversities and meeting religious and public figures.<\/p>\n<p>He set out at about 7:45 a.m. and toured the capital to meet<br>\nwith academics from Pancasila University and the Jakarta Teacher<br>\nTraining Institute.<\/p>\n<p>During his visit to the universities, Djadja said he was keen<br>\nto get information from all walks of life on any topic of<br>\ninterest.<\/p>\n<p>\"I have to respond to popular demands and to learn the<br>\ncomplexity of the social problems as they could likely cause<br>\nfriction among groups,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>From yesterday to July 20, Djadja is scheduled to visit the<br>\nIndonesian Christian University (UKI), Pendidikan Tinggi Da'wah<br>\nIslam (PTDI), Krisnadwipayana University and As-Syafi'Iyah<br>\nIslamic University, all in East Jakarta, Muhammadiyah University<br>\nand Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic Institute in South Jakarta<br>\nand Empat Lima Islamic University in Bekasi.<\/p>\n<p>He is also to visit senior military officers and his<br>\npredecessors at their residences, including Gen.
