Distribution of fuel<\/p>\n

Last April I wrote to Media Indonesia, giving a suggestion
\nabout how to secure fuel distribution, and received much
\ncriticism via e-mail afterward. In essence, the writers
\nthreatened me and accused me of causing them to lose a means of
\nearning income. Also, they said that I was a stupid person,
\npretending to understand things about fuel. But, for the sake of
\njustice and the national interest, I encouraged myself to
\ncontinue giving some input to the government.<\/p>\n
At that time I wrote as follows: \"Since April 1, 2001, the
\ngovernment has increased fuel prices by between 50 percent and
\n100 percent for the industrial and international shipping sectors
\nthrough its Presidential Decree No 45\/2001.<\/p>\n
\"These differences in price between fuel for the public and
\nfor industry will create an opportunity for certain people or
\ngroups to operate unfairly, taking a profit from the situation.<\/p>\n
\"To ensure the achievement of fair and adequate distribution
\nfor both industrial and individual users, it is necessary to
\nconsider an easy and transparent new supervision method and I,
\ntherefore, propose the following:<\/p>\n
\"The color of fuel for the industrial sector should be
\ndifferentiated from that for public consumption by adding
\nchemicals or coloring. For example, the color of premium for
\npublic consumption could be yellow while the fuel for industrial
\npurposes could be blue.<\/p>\n
\"The vehicles carrying fuel intended for industry should be
\npainted with a special color. A blue line, for example, could be
\npainted along the body of the vehicle. Besides that, a special
\nsticker could be put on it and, if necessary, it could have a
\nspecial code on the license plate.<\/p>\n
\"The establishment of a special monitoring team and the
\nprovision of post office boxes and telephone lines for public
\ncomplaints would be useful for those wishing to report
\nirregularities in fuel distribution.\"<\/p>\n
