Former Bima City police chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro has been dishonourably discharged and detained at the National Criminal Investigation Agency's detention facility on charges of narcotics possession and receiving Rp 2.8 billion in drug proceeds.

The Narcotics Crime Directorate of the National Criminal
Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) has officially detained former
Bima City police chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro (DPK). Didik is now
being held at the Bareskrim detention facility in South Jakarta in
connection with alleged narcotics abuse.

Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Director Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso
stated that the detention was carried out after AKBP Didik underwent a
Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing, which resulted in a
verdict of Dishonourable Discharge (PTDH).

“AKBP DPK has undergone an ethics hearing with a PTDH verdict, and
starting today, Thursday 19 February 2026, he has been detained by the
Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate,” Eko said in a statement on
Thursday.

AKBP Didik is a suspect in a narcotics possession case and is also
suspected of receiving Rp 2.8 billion in proceeds from drug crimes
investigated by the Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) Regional Police. Didik has
now been dismissed over the narcotics case, receiving drug proceeds, and
sexual misconduct.

“AKBP DPK has also been named a suspect by the NTB Regional Police
Narcotics Directorate in a case involving the alleged receipt of
proceeds from narcotics crimes from AKP M (Maulangi) totalling Rp 2.8
billion,” Eko revealed.

Eko explained that Maulangi, the former head of the Bima City Police
narcotics unit, had met with an individual named Koh Erwin, a drug lord,
along with AS, who served as the drug network’s treasurer. During that
meeting, Maulangi requested that Koh Erwin provide money to be handed
over to Didik as the police chief.

“During further examination, AKP M revealed that he had been
receiving money from drug lords from June to November 2025,” Eko
explained.

The bulk of the money was subsequently handed over to Didik as
Maulangi’s direct superior. “The total amount of money handed over to
AKBP DPK was Rp 2.8 billion,” Eko stated.

Police Reveal the Chronology

Eko explained that the case began when NTB Regional Police narcotics
investigators arrested two individuals with the initials YI and HR in
connection with a drug case on Saturday 24 January. Police seized 30.415
grams of methamphetamine from them.

Further investigation revealed that YI and HR were subordinates of
AN, the wife of Bripka IR, a police officer serving at the Bima City
Police. Upon learning that YI and HR had been arrested, Bripka IR
surrendered on Sunday 25 January. The following day, AN was also
arrested.

During examination, AN admitted that former Bima City Police
narcotics unit chief AKP Maulangi was involved in the illegal narcotics
trade.

“AN had previously attended a meeting comprising AS as the network’s
treasurer and KE as the drug network leader, along with AKP M, to fulfil
a request for a sum of money to be handed over to AKBP DPK,” Eko
explained.

AKP Maulangi was subsequently arrested on Tuesday 3 February. Police
seized 488.496 grams of methamphetamine from him.

During examination, Maulangi admitted to receiving money from drug
lords from June 2025 to November 2025, with the majority being passed on
to AKBP Didik.

After Maulangi cooperated with investigators, police interrogated
Didik on Wednesday 11 February. Didik was unable to deny the allegations
and admitted to still storing narcotics in a suitcase.

The narcotics had been entrusted to his former subordinate, Aipda
Dianita Agustina (DA), a police officer serving at the South Tangerang
Police. Dianita had been Didik’s subordinate when he served as Serpong
district police chief in 2016-2017. In 2019, Aipda Dianita Agustina
became the driver for Didik’s wife, Miranti Afriana (MA).

The Internal Affairs Bureau of the Police Professional and Security
Division subsequently searched Aipda Dianita Agustina’s residence in the
South Tangerang area. There, police found a suitcase containing 16.3
grams of methamphetamine, 49 ecstasy tablets and two used remnants, 19
alprazolam pills, two “happy five” pills, and 5 grams of fentamine.

Eko stated that Miranti had asked Aipda Dianita Agustina to secure
the suitcase from Didik’s home in the Tangerang area on 6 February.
Dianita did not suspect anything and carried out the instruction.

“Aipda DA carried out the instruction because it came from MA.
Furthermore, Aipda DA was aware of the rank disparity between AKBP DPK
and herself, so she did not dare refuse the order or dispose of the
suitcase, fearing she would be destroying evidence,” Eko said.

Examination results revealed that both Dianita and Miranti tested
positive for narcotics use. Consequently, both were sent for
rehabilitation at the National Narcotics Agency’s Rehabilitation
Centre.

AKBP Didik’s Written Statement

Following his dismissal, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro wrote a statement
in response to the drug abuse case against him. The letter was conveyed
by his lawyer, Rofiq Anshari, after accompanying his client through the
ethics hearing.

“There are several statements written by him that we can share,”
Rofiq told reporters.

The statement, signed by Didik, declared the following key points:
that he never ordered AKP Maulangi to request money from Koh Erwin; that
he never instructed Maulangi to collaborate with any party, including
Koh Erwin, in distributing or trading narcotics or any prohibited
substances; that he had never met or cooperated in any form with Koh
Erwin; and that the narcotics and psychotropic substances found in the
suitcase at Dianita’s home were his personal belongings, with no
connection to Maulangi.

Lawyer Rofiq Anshari disclosed that his client had been using
narcotics since 2019.

“Based on the examination results conveyed by him, he has been using
narcotics and psychotropic substances since 2019,” Rofiq said.

Didik reportedly first obtained the illicit substances whilst serving
as deputy head of criminal investigations at the North Jakarta Police.
Didik claimed the drugs were initially sourced from unclaimed narcotics
— substances that were not in use, not proceeding to court, and not
seized as evidence.

Rofiq stated that Didik attributed his continued drug use to
addiction. However, Didik disputed that all the narcotics in the case
filled an entire suitcase, claiming it was only 49 ecstasy tablets and
methamphetamine contained in a small case.
",
