Dismissal urged for police chief<\/p>\n
MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: The United Bone Student and Youths
\nBoard (DPP-Kepmi) urged on Monday the dismissal of Bone Police
\nchief Supt. Dedi Fauzi following a recent brawl between locals
\nthat killed at least two people.<\/p>\n
\"South Sulawesi Police chief (Insp. Gen. Sofyan Jacoeb) must
\nreplace Bone Police chief since he legalized the formation of an
\nanti-vice forum which has led to vigilantism and clashes between
\ngroup members and locals of Tabbae,\" DPP-Kepmi chairman A. Sunusi
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Residents of Tabbae were reportedly upset by the anti-vice
\ngroup called Forbes Gerak, whom they said quickly accused people
\nof crime and took the law into their hands.<\/p>\n
DPP-Kepmi said at least six people died in Friday's brawl
\nbetween forum members and people of Tabbae, with two others
\nseverely injured and eight reportedly missing.<\/p>\n
Police, however, denied DPP-Kepmi claims.<\/p>\n
\"There were only two deaths and four injured. The situation in
\nNorth Bone has returned to normal. Please be patient and do not
\nquickly jump to conclusions,\" Bone Regional Police chief Sr.
\nSupt. Wawan Hendrawan said. (27\/edt)<\/p>",
