        "content": "<p>The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) at the Ministry of Finance has\nappointed seven new entities as collectors of Value Added Tax (VAT) on\nTrade Through Electronic Systems (PMSE). The seven entities are Strava,\nInc., Envato Pty Ltd, Envato Elements Pty Ltd, The Nielsen Norman Group,\nInc., Kling AI Pte. Ltd., Law School Admission Council, Inc., and PLAUD\nLLC.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Counselling, Services, and Public Relations, Inge Diana\nRismawanti, explained that these entities operate across various digital\neconomy sectors, including fitness services, digital content, education,\nand artificial intelligence (AI). She noted that the increasingly\ndiverse appointment of digital tax collectors now reflects the\nbroadening scope of PMSE VAT collection in line with the development of\ndigital business models.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe inclusion of AI service providers and various other digital\nservices in the list of PMSE VAT collectors reflects the increasingly\ndiverse range of digital services utilised by the public,\u201d Inge stated\nin a press release on Friday (26\/6\/2026). Inge also reported that, in\nline with the expansion of the collector base, as of 31 May 2026, a\ntotal of 233 PMSE businesses had collected and remitted PMSE VAT\namounting to Rp40.55 trillion. This total comprises deposits of Rp731.4\nbillion in 2020, Rp3.9 trillion in 2021, Rp5.51 trillion in 2022, Rp6.76\ntrillion in 2023, Rp8.44 trillion in 2024, Rp10.32 trillion in 2025, and\nRp4.88 trillion in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe DJP will continue to monitor developments in technology and\ndigital business models to ensure that the implementation of tax\nobligations runs effectively, fairly, and provides legal certainty for\nbusiness actors,\u201d Inge concluded.<\/p>",
