        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 The Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjenpas)\nintroduced and marketed products produced through its rehabilitation of\nprisoners, including handicrafts and processed foods, at a Ramadan\ndiscount bazaar in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Director General of Corrections Mashudi stated that the event\nrepresents an effort to introduce and market the products created by\nprisoners so that they become more widely recognised and gain economic\nvalue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis bazaar is an opportunity to introduce the work of prisoners\nthat is competitive. We want to demonstrate through rehabilitation in\nthe corrections system, they are capable of producing quality products\nwith market value,\u201d said Mashudi.<\/p>\n<p>The Ramadan discount bazaar was held at the Ditjenpas office compound\nand formed part of the commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of\nCorrections Service Day.<\/p>\n<p>Mashudi expressed hope that the event would bring blessings to all\nparties, particularly during Ramadan month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition to helping meet needs at affordable prices, this\nactivity is also expected to stimulate the wheels of the economy,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Event organising committee chair Adhayani Lubis said they wished to\ncreate a more vibrant Ramadan atmosphere within the Ditjenpas\nenvironment whilst introducing various products made by prisoners.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to products from prisoner rehabilitation, the bazaar also\nfeatured various other items including products from micro, small and\nmedium enterprises (MSME), food products from Bulog, fresh meat\nvarieties, and handicrafts from Dharma Wanita Persatuan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presence of this bazaar is expected to benefit various parties,\nboth by providing necessities at affordable prices during Ramadan and\nserving as a means to introduce various products made by prisoners to\nthe public,\u201d said Adhayani.<\/p>",
