        "content": "<p>Director arrested for power theft<\/p>\n<p>TANGERANG: The police arrested the director of Cikokol <br>\nmain vegetable market, H. Memet, and one of his staff members, <br>\nKinong, on Thursday for allegedly organizing the theft of <br>\nelectricity for hundreds of vegetable vendors at the market.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the two were arrested following a raid conducted <br>\njointly with the state electricity company (PLN), which found <br>\nthat the electricity relay station that supplied 36,000 volts to <br>\nthe market had been tampered with.<\/p>\n<p>PLN also cut the supply of the power to the market, which <br>\nresulted in complaints from some 500 vendors who sell their <br>\nvegetables at night.<\/p>\n<p>PLN is engaged in an ongoing operation against power theft in <br>\nan effort to stamp out the crime, which inflicts huge financial <br>\nlosses on the company.--JP<\/p>\n<p>;JP;MULTA FIDRUS;<br>\nANPAj..r..<br>\nFocus-Tangerang-drugs <br>\nTwo Nigerians on trial for drug<br>\nJP\/8\/GREATER<\/p>\n<p>Two Nigerians on trial for drug<\/p>\n<p>TANGERANG: Two Nigerians were sent to the Tangerang District <br>\nCourt on Thursday for allegedly trafficking 5.6 kilograms of <br>\nheroin.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding judge Permadi, however, postponed the hearing for a <br>\nweek to give the defendants, Michael Titus Igweh, 23, and Hillary <br>\nK. Defendant Nkomo Kholisani reportedly <br>\ndied at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta due to <br>\nAIDS.<\/p>\n<p>The defendants were first arrested in August 2002 after the <br>\npolice nabbed Nkomo's girlfriend Marlena, 24, an Indonesian, on <br>\nAug. 17, 2002 in a raid at her house, where the police found 50 <br>\ngrams of heroin in her bag.<\/p>\n<p>Marlena died in December at the police hospital.
