        "content": "<p>Diarrhea affects infants in Batam<\/p>\n<p>BATAM (JP): Dozens of infants and under-five children have<br>\nfallen victim to gastroenteritis in Batam, with some of the<br>\nchildren having been sick now for over a week.<\/p>\n<p>The children are being treated at a number of clinics, Antara<br>\nreported on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the local health office's disease prevention and<br>\neradication section, Sri Widyastuti, said no reports had been<br>\nreceived from public health centers on the incidence of diarrhea<br>\nin the region.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a lot more children are believed to be receiving<br>\ntreatment at home.<\/p>\n<p>The health office has instructed all health centers on the<br>\nisland to be on the alert for any symptoms of the ailment and to<br>\ntake immediate action where necessary.<\/p>",
