PT Sokonindo Automobile is expanding its electrified vehicle\nmarketing to Bali through the regional launch of the DFSK E5 Plus. The\nplug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model was introduced to Balinese\nconsumers during a regional launch event held at Living World Bali from\n22 to 28 September 2026.<\/p>\n
The DFSK E5 Plus is marketed at a price of Rp534 million on the road\n(OTR) in Bali. During the launch period, DFSK offered a promotional\nprice of Rp494 million OTR for the first five buyers.<\/p>\n
The E5 Plus is a PHEV SUV with a seven-passenger configuration. This\nmodel combines an electric powertrain with an internal combustion engine\nto support both daily commuting and long-distance travel.<\/p>\n
Cing Hok Rifin, Director of Sales Center at PT Sokonindo Automobile,\nstated that Bali\u2019s mobility characteristics were a key consideration for\nthe company when marketing the E5 Plus on the Island of the Gods. \u201cBali\nhas a different mobility character. As a destination with highly dynamic\nactivities, vehicles in Bali are required to provide comfort for daily\nmobility as well as flexibility for inter-regional travel,\u201d said Cing\nHok.<\/p>\n
Regarding the cabin, the E5 Plus features a captain seat\nconfiguration and provides ventilated seats in the first and second\nrows. DFSK has also equipped the car with Noise, Vibration, and\nHarshness (NVH) damping technology.<\/p>\n
Entertainment features include a 15.6-inch rear screen and an audio\nsystem with 13 speakers. The infotainment system utilises the Snapdragon\n8155 platform, equipped with the \u2018Sera\u2019 voice assistant in\nIndonesian.<\/p>\n
For safety and driving assistance, the E5 Plus features 18 Advanced\nDriver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2 features, including Adaptive\nLane Change Assist (ALCA) and Automatic Parking Assist. The E5 Plus is\nalso equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing energy\nfrom the vehicle to power external electrical devices.<\/p>\n
In terms of chassis, the E5 Plus uses independent suspension at both\nthe front and rear. This system is paired with Frequency Selective\nDamping (F1) to adjust damping characteristics based on road\nconditions.<\/p>\n
The expansion of the E5 Plus to Bali is part of DFSK\u2019s strategy to\nbroaden the marketing of electrified vehicles in Indonesia. Previously,\nthe company introduced this model in several cities, including\nPalembang, Medan, and Bandung.<\/p>\n
The marketing of the E5 Plus in Bali is supported by PT Bevos Auto\nMandiri, a DFSK dealer partner that has collaborated with the company\nsince 2019. This network covers both sales and after-sales services for\nconsumers in the Bali region.<\/p>\n
Hartono Kurniawan, Owner of PT Bevos Auto Mandiri, noted that the\nBalinese market is beginning to show interest in vehicles with\nelectrification technology. \u201cThe E5 Plus arrives with a combination of\nPHEV efficiency for daily mobility, premium comfort, and flexibility for\ntravel within Bali,\u201d said Hartono.<\/p>\n
In addition to expanding its marketing network, DFSK relies on its\nmanufacturing facility in Cikande, Serang, Banten, to support vehicle\nproduction in Indonesia. The facility encompasses stamping, welding,\npainting, and assembly processes.<\/p>\n
DFSK stated that the level of automation at the facility reaches 95\nper cent for the stamping process and 90 per cent for the painting\nprocess. Every vehicle also undergoes End-of-Line (EOL) inspection and\nfinal checks before distribution.<\/p>\n
