        "content": "<p>Developer to be summoned for violation<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The City Council will summon PT Duta Pertiwi, a<br>\nprivate developer who is building a supermarket and office<br>\nbuildings on Jl. K.H. Hasyim Ashari, Central Jakarta, for<br>\nallegedly violating existing regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Saud Rachman, a member of the City Council&apos;s Commission D,<br>\nwhich oversees development affairs, said that the developer has<br>\nbuilt an apartment building which is not included in its land use<br>\npermit.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The permit clearly states that the city administration has<br>\npermitted the developer to use the 80,292-square-meter plot of<br>\nland only for a supermarket and office buildings. But in reality<br>\nthe developer also builds apartments,&quot; Saud told reporters<br>\nyesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Saud said that the deviation was discovered in a meeting<br>\nbetween the commission members and executives of the developer to<br>\ndiscuss its obligation to provide social and public facilities<br>\naround the project site.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the developer revealed that apartments are<br>\nbeing constructed as an integral part of the supermarket and<br>\noffice building complex.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;This is completely wrong because the permit allows the<br>\ndeveloper to build only the supermarket and office buildings,&quot; he<br>\nreiterated.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore the commission will summon the developer in the near<br>\nfuture to discuss the case.<\/p>\n<p>Saud also said that gubernatorial decree No. 540\/1990 is often<br>\nviolated.
