Several vehicles experienced tyre bursts while travelling on the\nJagorawi Toll Road. The incident, which subsequently went viral on\nsocial media, was caused by damage to the road surface.<\/p>\n
In the circulating video, the event is said to have occurred on\nThursday (30\/4). At that time, tow truck operators and police were\nalready present at the scene.<\/p>\n
In his statement, Senior Manager Representative Office 1 of Jasamarga\nMetropolitan Tollroad Regional Division, Alvin Andituahta Singarimbun,\nsaid that his team immediately conducted checks. Jasa Marga also\napologised for the incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cInitial reports from road users were received around 17:40 WIB. Upon\nreceiving this information, officers immediately conducted route tracing\nand inspections of the pavement condition to ensure the safety and\ncomfort of road users\u2019 journeys,\u201d said Alvin in his statement on Friday\n(1\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
Cause of Tyre Bursts<\/p>\n
Based on the inspection results, officers found eight points of\nroadwork damage. The damage around the incident location had the\npotential to disrupt road users\u2019 comfort.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn follow-up to these findings, JMTM immediately carried out\ntemporary repairs at several locations due to the ongoing rain on the\nJagorawi Toll Road,\u201d said Alvin Andituahta Singarimbun.<\/p>\n
Temporary repairs were carried out at night so that the route\nconditions could return to optimal and be traversable before permanent\nrepairs were undertaken.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn addition to handling the pavement points, mobile customer service\nofficers, tow trucks, and JMTO service fleets were also on standby to\nassist road users experiencing issues in the field and to ensure traffic\nflow remained maintained,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Operator to Compensate for Losses<\/p>\n
The toll operator is prepared to compensate for the losses stemming\nfrom the tyre burst incident involving several vehicles on the Jagorawi\nToll Road towards Bogor a few days ago. Affected road users will be\ncontacted.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a form of responsibility, we have also contacted the affected\nroad users and collected the necessary data as part of the claims\nprocess for compensation for vehicle damage experienced by road users,\u201d\nsaid Senior General Manager of JMT Regional Division, Widiyatmiko\nNursejati, on Saturday (2\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
His side also apologised to road users for the incident. For the\ndamaged road sections, repairs have also been carried out.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on the officers\u2019 field investigation, eight pavement damage\npoints were identified from Km 17 to Km 22 on the Jagorawi Toll Road\ntowards Ciawi,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
He said they would continue to monitor the repair work results. This\nis done to prevent similar incidents from recurring.<\/p>\n
