        "content": "<p>Deserted ships block harbor<\/p>\n<p>AMBON, Maluku: Port officials are still unable to remove four<br>\ncrippled and deserted South Korean fishing boats which have been<br>\nlodged in front of Ambon harbor for a week, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesian port official Ibrahim Pesiwarissa said the four<br>\nvessels were blocking much of the port's normal activities, which<br>\ninclude loading and unloading cargo along with supplying ships<br>\nwith fuel and water.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, incoming ships have had to wait in queues of<br>\nthree ships to five ships before being able to berth, Ibrahim<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>The four South Korean vessels were operated in cooperation<br>\nwith two Indonesian fishery companies, PT Papeda Laut and PT Laut<br>\nArafura Indah.<\/p>\n<p>Hengky Sirait, director of PT Papenda Laut, said the vessels<br>\nwere dead in the water because of serious engine trouble.<\/p>\n<p>\"All of the crews have returned to South Korea and their<br>\nboats' damaged engines can be repaired only with spare parts from<br>\nSouth Korea,\" he said.<\/p>",
