        "content": "<p>Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa has claimed that the number\nof illegal levies (pungli) during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period in 2026\nhas decreased compared to last year.<\/p>\n<p>Without providing specific figures for this year\u2019s pungli or a\ncomparison with the previous year, she stated that the decline is based\non her side\u2019s observations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe monitored that this year it is much lower than the previous year\nregarding information on pungli and price increases or hikes in tourist\ndestinations as well as hotels and so on,\u201d said Ni Luh at the\nPresidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (1\/4).<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Ni Luh admitted to receiving several reports related to\npungli at tourist destinations.
