Lebak (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Farida Farichah has\nassured that the Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes Merah\nPutih), which are currently operational, are capable of revitalising the\neconomic growth of rural communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are optimistic that Kopdes Merah Putih can revitalise the rural\neconomy, especially since rural communities are rich in various\npotentials, and this is an opportunity for them to be empowered and\nsovereign in managing their respective villages,\u201d said Farida while\nattending the Branch Deliberation (Muscab) of the National Awakening\nParty (PKB) in Lebak Regency on Monday.<\/p>\n
To ensure the success of Kopdes Merah Putih in line with Presidential\nInstructions (Inpres) Numbers 9 and 17, the Ministry of Cooperatives is\ncurrently undertaking physical construction, such as outlets,\nwarehouses, and other facilities, carried out by PT Agrinas Pangan\nNusantara (Persero), including vehicle procurement.<\/p>\n
The preparations by the Ministry of Cooperatives prioritise the\nconstruction of Kopdes Merah Putih, as this is President Prabowo\nSubianto\u2019s programme.<\/p>\n
At present, she said, the formation of KDKMP has been completed, with\naround 83,000 units having legal entity status, including their\nmanagement.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow, some of these KDKMP are already operating independently in\nbusiness,\u201d said Farida.<\/p>\n
According to her, among the approximately 83,000 KDKMP units, around\n34,000 to 35,000 are currently undergoing construction of outlets,\nwarehouses, and other facilities by PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara.<\/p>\n
Her side also requested residents to check how many Kopdes in Lebak\nhave been completed and which have not, but the latest data from the\ncoordination meeting on KDKMP construction shows that around 3,000 units\nhave been 100% completed.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are preparing the stages of KDKMP construction which are ongoing,\nand once all are 100% complete, there will be operationalisation\nincluding filling equipment, stocking goods for sale, determining\npersonnel, including the number of employees, along with recruiting\nmembers in villages and sub-districts,\u201d said the PKB politician.<\/p>\n
Manager of Kopdes Merah Putih in Pondok Panjang Village, Cihara\nSub-district, Lebak Regency, Aep Saepudin, stated that the cooperative\nunder his management currently has 294 members, most of whom are micro,\nsmall, and medium enterprises (UMKM) actors.<\/p>\n
These UMKM actors produce emping kaceprek, palm sugar, banana sale,\nand fish meatballs, as their area has abundant raw materials.<\/p>\n
In fact, the palm sugar production is supplied to several areas in\nEast Java and can generate a circulation of Rp400 million if calculated\nat Rp40,000 per kilogram from a production of 10 tonnes per month.<\/p>\n
