Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Interior Minister (Wamendagri) Ribka Haluk
has assured that all local governments (Pemda) in eastern Indonesia are
implementing the work culture transformation policy for civil servants
(ASN) in the regions.

She emphasised that all Pemda in the eastern Indonesia region are
aware of the government’s policy on implementing work culture
transformation for ASN, including work from home (WFH), which is to be
carried out simultaneously every Friday as part of the work culture
transformation.

Ribka explained that the inaugural WFH implementation, originally
scheduled for Friday, 3 April 2026, has been adjusted because it
coincides with a religious celebration. Therefore, the effective
implementation will begin on Friday, 10 April 2026.

“Its implementation falls this week, precisely on Friday the 10th,
and it is urged to all local governments throughout Indonesia, including
those in this eastern Indonesia region, to carry it out massively and it
must already be implemented,” said Ribka in Jakarta on Tuesday.

This was stated by Ribka following the Socialisation Meeting on the
WFH Policy in the Pemda environment of the Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Maluku,
and Papua regions, which took place virtually from the Central Office of
the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Jakarta, on Tuesday.

This is as stipulated in the Circular Letter (SE) of the Minister of
Home Affairs Number 800.1.5/3349/SJ on the Work Culture Transformation
of ASN in the Pemda Environment.

Furthermore, Ribka stressed that the WFH policy is not only aimed at
changing work patterns but also at promoting efficiency, both in terms
of energy and fiscal aspects. She appreciated the North Maluku
Provincial Government (Pemprov) which has already implemented a similar
work pattern earlier.

In addition, Ribka reminded Pemda to ensure the readiness of
supporting infrastructure, such as electronic attendance systems and
other supporting applications. She also emphasised that the
implementation of this policy will be evaluated within a two-month
period.

In its implementation, Ribka emphasised the importance of maintaining
ASN productivity even when working from home.

She reminded that WFH does not mean reducing performance, but rather
maintaining discipline and responsibility as ASN.

“The most important thing from this WFH is that productivity and
performance must not decline with the introduction of WFH,” she
asserted.

Ribka also stressed that the success of this policy greatly depends
on the awareness and integrity of ASN in carrying out their duties.

According to her, an approach based on ethics and personal
responsibility is the main key in implementing the policy.
",
