He stated this approach is crucial to ensure\nregional development continues smoothly amid current global economic\ndynamics. According to him, this strategy is key to ensuring regional\ndevelopment proceeds without continuous dependence on the Regional\nRevenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). He conveyed this during a\nWorkshop on Regional Government Financial Management through Creative\nFinancing at the Griya Mayang Hall, the official residence of the Mayor\nof Jambi, on Friday (3\/7). \u201cWe know that amidst the efficiency drives\nfor 2026, regional heads are now required to truly implement what is\ncalled adaptive leadership in the face of unpredictable global\ngeopolitical escalations,\u201d he said in a written statement on Saturday\n(4\/7). Wiyagus explained that one step regional governments can take is\nto optimise assets that have so far been unproductive. Idle land or\nlocal government facilities that currently burden budgets can be managed\nin cooperation with third parties. Such cooperation, he said, has the\npotential to generate economic value while boosting Regional Original\nRevenue (PAD). He highlighted the successful management of the Gelora\nBandung Lautan Api Stadium as an example, where maintenance is now\ncooperated with the Persib Bandung football club, thus no longer\nburdening the local government and instead providing economic benefits.\nWiyagus assessed that the City of Jambi has strong capital to develop a\nsimilar strategy, as the city is led by a combination of figures with\nbureaucratic and business backgrounds. This synergy, he said, is likely\nto produce various financing innovations beyond conventional mechanisms.\nHe requested that the Jambi City Government make maximum use of this.\n\u201cSo when talking about creative financing, it is already ideal. How\nthese idle lands, which are local government assets, can truly be\nempowered and generate profit to increase PAD,\u201d he stressed. Wiyagus\nalso invited all ranks of the Jambi City Government to strengthen\ncollaboration with the private sector and other stakeholders.
