        "content": "<p>Deputy Chief of Police Komjen Dedi Prasetyo stated that the role of\nthe Polri Public Relations Division is not merely that of a\nspokesperson. He reminded that Polri Public Relations has a significant\nrole in combating disinformation and building public trust.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPublic Relations is not just a spokesperson, but a strategic\ncommunication hub that manages public perception, builds trust, and\ncombats disinformation to support institutional legitimacy,\u201d said Komjen\nDedi at the Polri Public Relations Work Meeting for 2026 in Jakarta\n(15\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Dedi explained that Polri Public Relations must be able to transform\nthrough an intelligence-led communication approach. This is done by\noptimising big data and artificial intelligence-based systems, such as\nreal-time monitoring, intelligent analysis, and rapid responses to\nissues.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, what needs to be noted is the use of a\ncommunication framework based on accuracy, relevance, and clear\nobjectives in every content production. In addition, Dedi mentioned the\nimportance of internalising public relations functions throughout the\nPolri organisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReferring to Perkap Number 6 of 2023, public relations functions are\nnot only borne by Public Relations personnel, but by all Polri members.\nAmid the rapid flow of information, every personnel must have good,\naccurate, and empathetic communication skills,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Chief of Police also reminded all levels of Polri Public\nRelations to understand the direction of national policy through the\nRPJPN 2025-2045, including the eight national development agendas and\ndigital transformation as the main pillar. He emphasised the importance\nof Polri\u2019s public communication aligning with the Golden Indonesia 2045\nvision.<\/p>\n<p>Dedi added the importance of optimising the Public Relations War Room\nas an information control centre to monitor viral issues, analyse\ntrends, and determine mitigation and amplification steps quickly and\naccurately.
