        "content": "<p>Jakarta, VIVA \u2013 Deputy Chief of Police Komjen Dedi Prasetyo delivered\nstrategic guidance to the ranks during the 2026 Polri Public Relations\nStrategic Coordination Meeting in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>In his address, the Deputy Chief of Police appreciated the improving\nquality of media management strategies year on year. \u201cPublic relations\nis the voice and ear of the institution. This role places public\nrelations at the forefront as well as the last line of defence in\nsafeguarding the honour of Polri,\u201d said Dedi.<\/p>\n<p>More than just spokespersons, the Deputy Chief of Police stated that\nPolri public relations personnel are strategic communicators who must be\nable to manage public perception, particularly in building public\ntrust.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPublic relations is not merely a spokesperson, but a strategic\ncommunication hub that manages public perception, builds trust, and\ncounters disinformation to support institutional legitimacy,\u201d said\nDedi.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Chief of Police emphasised that the Public Relations\nDivision must be capable of transforming through an intelligence-led\ncommunication approach, optimising big data and artificial\nintelligence-based systems such as real-time monitoring, intelligent\nanalysis, and rapid responses to issues.<\/p>\n<p>He also underscored the importance of using a communication framework\nbased on accuracy, relevance, and clear objectives in every content\nproduction.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he highlighted the importance of internalising public\nrelations functions throughout the entire Polri organisation. Referring\nto Perkap Number 6 of 2023, public relations functions are not only\nborne by public relations personnel, but by all Polri members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the midst of the rapid flow of information, every personnel must\npossess good, accurate, and empathetic communication skills,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>In the context of long-term development, Dedi reminded all public\nrelations ranks to understand the direction of national policy through\nthe RPJPN 2025-2045, including the eight national development agendas\nand digital transformation as the main pillar.
