The Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Ahmad Sahroni, has called for severe punishment for Dadan Hindayana and two other former leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) who have been named as suspects in a corruption case related to the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. Sahroni believes that a harsh sentence will deter future corruption in this long-term project and urges the Attorney General's Office to investigate the case thoroughly, implicating all those involved, from leaders to operators and vendors. The suspects are accused of misusing funds allocated for the MBG program, which had a budget of IDR 85.27 trillion in 2025 and IDR 268 trillion in 2026, by appointing affiliated foundations as partners and engaging in price markups.

Former leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan
Hindayana, Sony Sonjaya, and Lodewyk Pusung, have been named as suspects
in a corruption case related to the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Ahmad Sahroni, has called
for the three to be severely punished as a deterrent.

“Regarding the punishment, I believe it should be a punishment that
will deter others, because this is a long-term project that must always
be protected from corruption,” Sahroni told reporters on Thursday (June
4, 2026).

He also urged law enforcement not to stop at the three former BGN
leaders. He asked the Attorney General’s Office to investigate the case
thoroughly, to its roots.

“I agree and fully support the thorough investigation of the
corruption case at the BGN and the prosecution of all those involved.
From the chairman, to the leaders, and if necessary, to the operators
and unscrupulous vendors,” he said.

The Deputy Treasurer of the NasDem DPP believes that the
investigation of this case will be easier because it starts from the
top. “The prosecutor’s move to take action against corruption from the
top is a very good step, so it will also be easier to investigate those
below,” he said.

Dadan and Others Detained by the Attorney General’s Office

As is known, Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk have been named as suspects and
detained by the Attorney General’s Office.
