Former leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan\nHindayana, Sony Sonjaya, and Lodewyk Pusung, have been named as suspects\nin a corruption case related to the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.\nDeputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Ahmad Sahroni, has called\nfor the three to be severely punished as a deterrent.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding the punishment, I believe it should be a punishment that\nwill deter others, because this is a long-term project that must always\nbe protected from corruption,\u201d Sahroni told reporters on Thursday (June\n4, 2026).<\/p>\n
He also urged law enforcement not to stop at the three former BGN\nleaders. He asked the Attorney General\u2019s Office to investigate the case\nthoroughly, to its roots.<\/p>\n
\u201cI agree and fully support the thorough investigation of the\ncorruption case at the BGN and the prosecution of all those involved.\nFrom the chairman, to the leaders, and if necessary, to the operators\nand unscrupulous vendors,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Treasurer of the NasDem DPP believes that the\ninvestigation of this case will be easier because it starts from the\ntop. \u201cThe prosecutor\u2019s move to take action against corruption from the\ntop is a very good step, so it will also be easier to investigate those\nbelow,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Dadan and Others Detained by the Attorney General\u2019s Office<\/p>\n
As is known, Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk have been named as suspects and\ndetained by the Attorney General\u2019s Office. They are suspected of\ncommitting irregularities in the national priority program, MBG, which\nhad a budget of IDR 85.27 trillion in 2025 and IDR 268 trillion in\n2026.<\/p>\n
The modus operandi used included appointing foundations affiliated\nwith them as partners of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units\n(SPPG).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe form of affiliation is that these foundations can be said to\nbelong to, or are owned through other people, or are controlled by the\nsuspects,\u201d said the Director of Investigation (Dirdik) at the Deputy\nAttorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney\nGeneral\u2019s Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, in a press conference at the\nAttorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
In addition to the issue of foundations, the Attorney General\u2019s\nOffice has detected intervention by the suspects in the procurement of\ngoods and services that did not meet actual needs and involved price\nmarkups. Syarief said that all of these procurements had been\nrealized.<\/p>\n
The goods included in this corruption case include the procurement of\n21,801 electric motorcycles worth approximately IDR 1 trillion, 32,000\npairs of shoes, 31,000 tablets, and 5,400 75-inch televisions.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe procurement of goods and services has all been realized.\nEverything has been realized,\u201d Syarief concluded.<\/p>\n
As a result of their actions, Syarief said that there had been a loss\nto state finances. The three were immediately named as suspects and\ndetained at the Salemba Branch of the Attorney General\u2019s Office and the\nSouth Jakarta District Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
