Deputy Attorney General dies<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes Haryadi B.
\nWidyasa died early on Thursday morning at Pertamina Hospital
\nafter being hospitalized for a stroke.<\/p>\n
Haryadi was rushed to the hospital when he lost consciousness
\nwhile observing Friday prayer on Dec. 24 at the Attorney
\nGeneral's Office. He is survived by his wife and three children.<\/p>\n
Born in 1945 in Tanjungkarang, Lampung, Haryadi graduated in
\n1972 from the School of Law at Bandung-based Padjadjaran
\nUniversity. The following year he became a prosecutor.<\/p>\n
He once served as assistant head of intelligence at the Aceh
\nProsecutor's Office, and head of the Prosecutor's Office in
\nBandung and South Sumatra. He was appointed in 2003 as the deputy
\nattorney general for general crimes.<\/p>\n
He was buried later on Thursday at Tanah Kusir Public Cemetery
\nin South Jakarta, following a service at Sasana Pradhana hall,
\nthe Attorney General's Office. -- JP<\/p>",
