Getting local people to<br>\ntake charge of the business depends on two factors. The first is<br>\nthe ability of local people to do the job. The second is the<br>\ntrust I have in them. That is not to say that I think Indonesian<br>\npeople are untrustworthy, but the value of teamwork is essential<br>\nand takes time to develop. That is why I have to stay here and<br>\nreturn monthly to my head office to meet with my companies<br>\nmanagement team.<\/p>\n<p>Doing business properly is not an easy way to make money. My<br>\ncompany pays tax and sometimes, has also to make some less<br>\nofficial payments.
