Jakarta (ANTARA) – BYD has officially launched the Z9 GT in Indonesia
under its premium marque, Denza. The high-performance electric grand
tourer is equipped with three electric motors and advanced handling
technology.

The Denza Z9 GT is based on the e3 platform and features all-wheel
drive (AWD). Its three electric motors deliver a combined output of up
to 850 kW, equivalent to 1,156 PS or 1,142 hp, with maximum torque of
1,210 Nm.

This configuration enables the Z9 GT to accelerate from a standstill
to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. On paper, that is close to the initial
acceleration of an F1 car, which typically reaches 100 km/h in around
2.5–2.6 seconds.

Its claimed range on a single charge is 701 kilometres under the NEDC
testing standard.

“The Z9 GT represents all the technology carried by Denza as a
premium luxury brand, bringing together performance, comfort and
luxury,” said Bobby Bharata, Head of Product at PT BYD Motor Indonesia,
at the car’s launch in Jakarta on Wednesday.

To support manoeuvrability, the Denza Z9 GT has rear-wheel steering
of up to 15 degrees and a minimum turning radius of 4.62 metres.

The Crab Walk feature allows the car to move diagonally, like a crab
walking sideways. Rear-wheel steering helps change the direction of
travel, making it easier to manoeuvre in confined spaces or avoid
obstacles.

Compass Turn allows the Z9 GT to turn in a tight space by
coordinating the three electric motors with the rear-wheel steering
system. In simple terms, the car can change direction with a sharper
pivot than in a conventional manoeuvre.

“This is the first Denza model in Indonesia to feature e3 Platform
technology. It combines precise control with agile manoeuvrability. To
deliver a more impressive, responsive and intelligent driving
experience, the independent rear-wheel steering technology allows the
rear wheels to move independently, providing greater flexibility and
precision in every manoeuvre,” Bobby said.

With Flash Charging, the car can charge from 10 to 70 per cent in
five minutes, and from 10 to 97 per cent in just nine minutes under
normal ambient conditions.

These features form part of BYD’s efforts to improve charging
efficiency and the practicality of using electric cars.

Cabin comfort is supported by premium materials, a Devialet audio
system with 20 speakers, and Google built-in connectivity powered by a
high-performance processor.

The Denza Z9 GT is available in eight exterior colours, including
Ford Green, Rime Gold, Obsidian Black and Snow White. The interior comes
in three colour combinations, one of which pairs black with yellow
stitching and Alcantara to create a sportier feel.

With this combination of performance, technology and comfort, the
Denza Z9 GT is priced at Rp2.25 billion in Indonesia.
",
