        "content": "<p>The Denpasar City Government handed over assignment decrees to 41\nschool principals at the early childhood\/ kindergarten, primary, and\njunior secondary levels on Thursday (9\/4\/2026). The handover was\nconducted to improve educational quality while strengthening the\nmanagement of educational units.<\/p>\n<p>Denpasar City Secretary, I Gusti Ngurah Eddy Mulya, stated that the\nassigned principals had undergone a consideration process and were\ndeemed suitable. Nevertheless, evaluations will continue during their\ntenure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis appointment is clear, in line with the consideration team. They\nhave been inaugurated and declared suitable, but evaluations are needed\nin implementation,\u201d Eddy said at the Denpasar Education Office.<\/p>\n<p>Eddy emphasised that the newly assigned principals must carry out\ntheir mandates in accordance with their responsibilities, maintain\nprofessionalism, and manage educational units, particularly in building\nstudents\u2019 character.<\/p>\n<p>He hopes that the principals can work optimally in their new\nassignments and improve achievements as well as the quality of education\nin Denpasar City.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the other hand, of course, the principals, assisted by mediators\nand others, can continue to enhance achievements and the quality of\neducation in Denpasar City,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, he reminded that no teaching staff vacancies should\noccur due to these assignments. According to him, teacher needs have\nbeen anticipated by the relevant agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo not let vacancies occur, whether in specific subjects or class\nteachers; this can be understood. I am confident that the Head of the\nagency has prepared everything,\u201d Eddy added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Head of the Denpasar City Education Office, AA Gede\nWiratama, said that the current principal needs have been partially met\nthrough these assignments. However, there are still around 30 vacant\nprincipal positions at the early childhood\/kindergarten, primary, and\njunior secondary levels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis includes substantive exams and computer-assisted tests (CAT),\u201d\nGede Wiratama explained.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 41 principals who received assignment decrees, one is at the\nearly childhood\/kindergarten level, 34 at primary schools, and the\nremaining two at junior secondary schools. Furthermore, he mentioned\nthat there are four junior secondary principals who received extensions\nfor their second assignment period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope that the principals who receive assignments can also uphold\nthe dignity of education in Denpasar City and improve the quality in\ntheir educational units,\u201d he added.<\/p>",
